.
. . beyond the comfort of the inn, there's
much to see and do in the quaint village of Ogunquit, and
The Colonial is near it all! On either side of the resort
are pathways to the Marginal Way, a picturesque footpath that
curves along the breathtaking, rocky coastline. You can stop
and enjoy the views from benches that border the walkway,
or you can continue on to Perkins Cove.

Here
you can browse to your heart's content
through the many delightful artisans' shops, galleries and
boutiques. From the drawbridge watch fishing boats unloading
their catches. Or take to the ocean yourself on a deep-sea
fishing excursion or brilliant sunset cruise. Of course, native
seafood will probably be one of the orders of your stay. Sample
the area's freshest at any of the fine restaurants that dot
the cove.

In
the evening, take in a performance
at the Ogunquit Playhouse, considered to be America's foremost
summer theatre. Several outstanding musicals and dramas are
performed there each season from June through labor Day.
When you've finished your journey the trolley will take
you right back to The Colonial's door, where you can settle
in and share your adventures of the day.
